The market in numbers

The most visited online shop in the UK

And most of the units sold there come from third-party sellers.

How we run your Amazon shop

Who sends the order, and where the stock comes from

Two choices shape an Amazon shop. Who sends the orders: us from Leicester (FBM) or Amazon (FBA). And where the stock comes from: wholesale or retail arbitrage. We run them all, and you can mix them. First, how selling on Amazon works.

How selling on Amazon works

FBM or FBA: who sends the order

FBM, sent from Leicester

Fulfilled by merchant. Your stock stays on our shelves in Leicester, and we send each order. Amazon's policies call this the Merchant Fulfilled Network.

How it works
  1. Your stock comes to our warehouse in Leicester.

  2. An order comes in on Amazon.

  3. We pick, pack and send it with tracking, with only your name on the parcel and paperwork. Orders in by 12 pm are sent the same day on working days.

  4. Returns come back to us, and we deal with them.

Who it suits
  • Products you also sell on other marketplaces, since the stock stays in one place.
  • Bulky or slow-selling items that would sit in Amazon's warehouses.
Good to know
  • You keep control of the stock and the packing.
  • You pay our fulfilment price instead of Amazon's FBA fees: £2 an order, less at volume, with no storage fee.
  • No Amazon storage fees, which are charged by volume each month for stock held in FBA.
Watch out for
  • Delivery speed counts towards the Featured Offer, so dispatch has to be quick.
  • You stay the seller of record on every parcel, and responsible for returns, which we handle for you.

FBA, sent by Amazon

Fulfilment by Amazon is Amazon's own storage, delivery and customer service programme. Your stock goes to Amazon's warehouses, and Amazon sends each order.

How it works
  1. Your stock comes to us in Leicester first.

  2. We check it, label it and pack it to Amazon's requirements, ready for Amazon's warehouses.

  3. Amazon stores it and sends each order.

  4. Amazon handles delivery and after-sales service for those orders.

Who it suits
  • Fast sellers that benefit from the Prime badge.
Good to know
  • FBA products can qualify for the Prime badge, with Amazon's fast, one-day delivery.
  • Amazon handles delivery and after-sales service for FBA orders.
Watch out for
  • Amazon charges a fulfilment fee for every unit, set by its size and weight, plus storage by volume each month.
  • Every unit needs a scannable barcode. Stock that arrives without the right prep or labels can be refused, returned or repackaged, or charged a prep fee.

Both

You can run both: some products in FBA, the rest sent from Leicester. Tell us where you're starting and we'll plan it with you.

Wholesale or retail arbitrage: where the stock comes from

Wholesale

Branded stock bought in bulk from the brand or an authorised distributor, with proper invoices.

How it works

We find products with room for profit after Amazon's fees. You buy the stock, and we sell it on the existing product pages, sent from Leicester or through FBA.

Who it suits
  • Sellers with a stock budget who want products they can reorder.
Good to know
  • Purchase invoices are among the documents Amazon asks for when you apply to sell a restricted brand or category. Wholesale stock comes with them.
  • You can reorder what sells.
Watch out for
  • Wholesale suppliers often ask for a minimum order.
  • On popular products, many sellers share one page, so price, delivery speed and stock decide who gets the Featured Offer.

Retail arbitrage

Discounted stock from clearance lines, sales and end-of-line deals, bought first and then resold on Amazon. It's sent from Leicester or prepped for FBA.

Who it suits
  • Smaller budgets, and testing products before buying in bulk.
Good to know
  • A low cost per product to get started.
  • Good for one-off deals and for testing what sells.
Watch out for
  • Deals don't repeat, so products are hard to reorder.
  • Restricted brands and categories need approval, and Amazon asks for purchase invoices. Retail arbitrage works best in open categories.
  • Every item is still brand-checked before it's listed.

Whichever you choose, the stock is bought before it's sold. Buying from another seller or retailer after the sale and having it shipped to your customer under someone else's name is against Amazon's rules.

The tools behind it

Our own tools, built for this work

People run your account. Our tools work in the background: they watch prices and stock, check new listings for brand risks, and match every fee to its order. They never log in to your account.

  • PriceWatch

Tracks the price, stock and Buy Box seller of each product we sell on Amazon UK, by its ASIN (Amazon's product code), on a schedule from every 3 hours to once a month. It keeps the full price history and sends an email when something moves past a set threshold. Price and stock both count towards the Featured Offer, so this is how we know when to act.

  • Amazon UK fee calculator

The referral fee for your category, closing and plan fees, the digital services fee and FBA, with profit, margin and break-even price. The rates come from Amazon's own fee pages and are checked every week.

  • Marketplace fee calculator

One item, four marketplaces: fees, profit and break-even price side by side.

  • Brand checks

We brand-check every product before it's listed, to avoid brands known to report sellers.

Your dashboard

Sign in any time to see every order we handle, what it sold for, what it cost and what you made. One login covers all your shops. You get one statement a month, and it never changes once it's sent. A late refund goes on the next one.

Questions

Amazon questions, answered

Is dropshipping allowed on Amazon?

Only on strict terms. You must be the seller of record, with only your name on packing slips, invoices and packaging, and you stay responsible for returns. Buying from another seller or retailer, Amazon included, and having it shipped straight to your customer is prohibited if anyone else's name appears. Breaking the rule can get your right to send your own orders restricted.

FBA or FBM: which should I use?

It depends on the product. FBA can put the Prime badge on your offer, and Amazon handles delivery and after-sales service, for a fee on every unit plus monthly storage. FBM keeps the stock with us in Leicester, at £2 an order, less at volume. You can use both. We work out the fees for each product in our calculator before we choose.

What does Amazon charge?

A selling plan: £0.75 for each item sold on Individual, or £25 a month plus VAT on Professional. Then a referral fee on each sale, mostly between 8% and 15% depending on the category. FBA adds a fee for each unit and monthly storage. Our free Amazon UK fee calculator works it out for any item.

What if a brand or category is restricted?

You have to apply to Amazon first, and the documents it asks for include purchase invoices dated within the last 180 days. So for branded products, wholesale stock with proper invoices is the usual route. Every product is brand-checked before it's listed.

Do you prep stock for FBA?

Yes. Your stock is checked, labelled and packed to Amazon's requirements in Leicester, ready for Amazon's warehouses. Amazon needs a scannable barcode on every unit, and stock that arrives without the right prep or labels can be refused, returned or charged a prep fee. Prep is priced to the job.

Can you guarantee sales or profit?

No, and nobody honestly can. What we promise is the work: products found and checked, every order sent, every buyer answered and your account looked after. In a month with no profit, our share is £0.
